Ludington Park

Beautiful sand beach in Escanaba with lifeguards and bathhouse. Sandy shoreline extends along Aronson Island. Located on the east end of Ludington Street. The harbor service building at the marina serves the north end of the park with restrooms Also near the marina there’s a 1,400 foot revetment wall for fishing. A variety of landscaping projects have also been done in the park. An improved pathway system is in place on Aronson Island. The bike path has been extended from the Delta County Historical Museum, around Sand Point and back to the museum. Renovation of the municipal beach house is under way and expected to be completed in mid-June. This will include new restrooms, showers, changing rooms, a family changing room, first-aid and lifeguard rooms, new sidewalk and landscaping.

Van Cleve Park

Large supervised sandy beach in Gladstone. Bathhouse and picnic area in park, located on Lake Shore Drive. New beach house and concession stand also in park.

Camp 7 Lake Campground

Unsupervised swimming area located east of Rapid River. Campground includes picnic area and accessible fishing pier. Take U.S. 2 east for 14 miles to Federal Forest Highway 13, then north eight miles to County Road 442. Follow 442 east for eight miles. Kids’ Fishing Day activities are scheduled for Saturday, June 8. Campfire programs will be held July 6 and Aug. 13. For more information call 474-6442.

Fayette State Park

A half-mile of sand beach near the campground at Big Bay de Noc on M-183, 16 miles south of U.S. 2.
Bathhouse, picnic area with playground.

Fuller Park

Beach and wooded picnic area isolated from traffic. Swimming un unsupervised area. Located 14 miles south of Escanaba on M-35.

Little Bay de Noc Campground

An unsupervised swimming area on the east shore of Little Bay de Noc. Campground includes day use and picnic area.
